2nd Lt. Morgan Wischnewsky can draw a direct line from her time at the University of North Georgia (sa国际传媒官网网页入口) to her work today at Brooke Army Medical Center on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas. From her time in the Corps of Cadets to her instruction in the Nursing Department, Wischnewsky said sa国际传媒官网网页入口 set her on a path that is already benefiting her family.

The fall 2023 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) grew up in an Air Force family and spent her middle and high school years stationed in Ramstein, Germany. When she and her father researched college programs, sa国际传媒官网网页入口 rose to the top, thanks in large part to its nursing program. She never visited campus before Freshman Recruit Orientation Group (FROG) Week with the Corps of Cadets.

Once she commissioned into the highly competitive Army Nurse Corps, Wischnewsky became even more grateful for the decision to attend sa国际传媒官网网页入口.

"I didn't realize how well sa国际传媒官网网页入口 prepared me as a nurse until I started practicing as a nurse," Wischnewsky said.

Between sa国际传媒官网网页入口's 100% job placement rate and consistent distinction as best in the state for National Council Licensure Examination pass rates, Wischnewsky trained in a place that prepared her for what came next.

Wischnewsky, an ROTC Scholarship recipient, met her husband during FROG Week, and he is also stationed in Texas in the Army's Medical Service Corps. With their first child on the way, she is grateful that sa国际传媒官网网页入口 allowed her to chase dual dreams of nursing and serving her country, all with great benefits.

"Joining the Army is the best thing I've ever done. It takes care of our family," Wischnewsky said. "You get to be a part of something bigger than yourself, and I get to do what I wanted to do."
